Many of you here in Blogland will already be familiar with the wonderful Winter Moon and the lovely lady behind it, Yvonne.
For those who have not yet had the pleasure of making her blog's acquaintance, upon visiting it you will discover that Yvonne also has an Etsy shop, filled with delightful vintage treasures.
I recently made my first Winter Moon purchase after seeing these vintage French blood red glasses on the Winter Moon Facebook page and becoming instantly smitten:
Yvonne still has three other sets of these little darlings in her shop if you've fallen in love with them too.
As if receiving vintage French glassware in the mail wasn't exciting enough, Yvonne was also kind enough to include some gorgeous little surprises in my promptly-posted parcel:
After wrapping the glasses with care, each one in its own layer of red tissue paper and bubble wrap, Yvonne then popped two vintage Penguin book cover postcards inside Burton-esque bags:
Along with some teeny tiny poison bottles:
A letter 'R' for my first initial:
And a lovely thank you card:
Isn't she a sweetheart?
Thank you so much Yvonne! I look forward to more Winter Moon shopping in the not-too-distant future. ❤
Now you are set for Dark Evening Celebration! Isn't it wonderful when you discover a fantastic shop and caring, generous proprietor ?!!!! See you at Winter Moon ! XoxoDebi
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Debi! Yvonne is an absolute sweetheart, and her shop is just wonderful - I feel very lucky to have met her through our brilliant bloggy community! I look forward to seeing you at Winter Moon ❤
DeleteAww, you're so sweet Rebecca, I was having a really sad day and you've truly made me beam from ear to ear. Thank you so much, this is a gorgeous post x
ReplyDeleteAww, my absolute pleasure Yvonne! Thank YOU so much for my gorgeous glasses and wonderful surprises! I'm sorry to hear you were having a sad day, but I'm so glad you're smiling now - beaming from ear to ear was just what I was doing as I opened my little parcel of Winter Moon magic ❤
DeleteOh, I saw those beautiful glasses and seriously debated about getting some myself ... until I remembered the umpteen boxes of glasses I packed away last fall and then I sort of gave myself a little pinch and told myself to smarten up! :D
ReplyDeleteThose little pill bottles are to die for (probably literally). I'd love to see how you end up displaying them! :)
Ha! It will be like Christmas when you can start unpacking all your goodies and arranging them in your new home, Insomniac!
DeleteAnd you're right about the pill bottles - more than one of them lists strychnine on the label ;D I think I'll pop magnets on the back, so they can have pride of place on my fridge. :)
Ooooh, what a good idea ... fridge magnets! :)
DeleteAww thanks Insomniac! They now make me smile whenever I go into the kitchen :)
DeleteAntique things are always nice to have around. You did well with your purchase.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nightwind, I think so too. :)
DeleteI remember those gorgeous glasses! I absolutely adore the colour! Perfect for next year's Vampire's Day Soiree, Bec! :D And Winter Moon's packages are such delightful little treasure troves.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a wonderful idea, Emma! These would be perfect for the Vampire's Day Soiree! :D I was like a kid on Christmas morning opening all of the little treasures in the parcel - Winter Moon packages are the best!
DeleteAww that's great that you bought them. I have glasses from the same serie but in liqour size, but I use them as tea candle holders. They give the room a cosy red glow :)
ReplyDeleteOh that's a wonderful idea, Linnea-Maria! They must look especially beautiful in your room when they're lit from within with little candles! The colour is stunning isn't it? :)
DeleteNothing says "I love you" like poison and antique pill bottles! Well, maybe a few glasses that are surely meant to contain something red and warm.

Ha! Couldn't agree more! Love the way you think, Magaly ;D
